By WY? beauty contributor, Claire Vyverberg. The staple line I hear again and again is “can you please hide my dark circles?” Sure I can – no problem. With the right concealer and brush, I can play magician to brighten up your peepers in no time. The trick is to identify the colours creating dark shadows and then to find a concealer that will work to counteract them. New mums, workaholics and party girls take note. These under-eye saviours will help you fake it till you make it.

If you’re suffering from blue/purple based circles under your eyes caused by broken capillaries, surface veins, thin fine skin and lack of sleep then the best concealer base for you is a peach or salmon toned product.

Try Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light/Medium Bisque.
A wakeup call for tired eyes. This corrector is pinky peach-based to neutralise under-eye darkness with a new long-wear formula to give the right amount of coverage that is easy to blend and won’t crease. Infused with skin conditioners, this product will also protect the delicate under-eye area…bonus!

If you’re dark circles are red or brown based caused by allergies, inflammation or other skin conditions such as eczema, use a green or yellow toned concealer to neutralise the redness and conceal the irritation.

Try Nars Duo Concealor in Custard & Ginger (yellow based) or Physicians Formula Powder Finish Concealer Stick (green based).
All day crease-proof formulas and easy to blend products will brilliantly obscure dark circles and brighten under-eye imperfections. Mix yellow and green formulas together to get the ultimate cover and colour combination. (Green based concealers are the BEST for hiding blemishes too!)
