Super Antioxidant Smoothie
Use this smoothie to fight off any free-radicals or toxins in the body which may have developed as a result of too much alcohol, food comas and minimal exercise. This smoothie will kick start your new year full of nutrients including vitamin C for immune function, Calcium for strong bones, Vitamin E & Omega 3 for anti-inflammation, omega 6 for brain function, magnesium for nerve function, protein for growth and muscle repair and essential amino acids.
Ingredients
1 banana
1 cup organic frozen blueberries
Half a punnet strawberries
Handful of raspberries
1tsp acai powder (optional)
1stp organic maca powder (optional)
2tbs Five:am natural organic yoghurt
1/4 cup preferred organic milk
Method
Blend and top with a few extra strawberries and blueberries to serve. Makes one big smoothie, ideal for breakfast or two smaller ones as a nourishing snack for two.
Raw Chocolate Mudshake
High in essential fatty acids, protein, Vitamin B12, potassium and anti-oxidants. This bad boy will fill you up for hours and curb any sweet cravings which may be disrupting your Christmas holidays.
Ingredients
2 ripe organic bananas
1/2 ripe avocado
2tsp organic coconut nectar or honey
1/4 cup organic almond milk (more if consistency is too thick)
2 heaped tbs organic raw cacao powder
Organic cacao nibs to top
Method
Blend all ingredients until smooth and thick. Top with a pinch of extra cacao powder and nibs.
Immune Boosting Mango and Chia Smoothie
Boost your immune system with this decadent and nutrient dense protein smoothie. Perfect to kick start the day with or as a light nourishing lunch alternative. Jam-packed full of Vitamin C and amino acids for immune function, Vitamin E for inflammation, Potassium for nerve function and probiotics to assist with digestion.
Ingredients
1 banana
½ ripe avocado
1 tsp cinnamon
1TBS chia seeds
1 ripe mango
2 TBS natural yoghurt
Splash of preferred organic milk
Method
