1. Check the dress codesthere are rules for different ticket types so make sure you’re clued up and dressed to impress in appropriate attire… click here to download ticket guide

2. Millinery-filled minefieldwhile headpieces complete any race day outfit these accessories can be hazardous when you’re confined to small spaces with a plethora of punters. Be mindful of those around you so you don’t take someone out. * WY? top tip: remember headpieces are traditionally placed on the right side of the face.

3. Foldable flatsAvoid hobbling out of the racecourse with your handbag in one hand and your heels in the other…it’s not becoming. If you do find yourself abandoning your heels, ensure you have backup. Pack these foldable flats in your purse…  

4. Gracious host – If you’re in charge of a race day carpark remember it’s your job to keep guests comfortable. Organise form guides for your guests, ensure your have enough alcohol (running out is a common race day problem) and save some food for a little later in the day when your guests may need some extra energy to kick on into the night!
