What do you do?
My philosophy is rooted in intuitive health, natural wholefoods, and working with your body. Using food as medicine, herbal medicine, and the gentle art of kinesiology to help women tap into their body’s innate wisdom and ability to heal itself, I have helped hundreds of clients on their journey to wellbeing, body harmony, and bounce-out-of-bed energy.
I am author of the Cleansed eBook, the Cleansed Kitchen Companion, and creator of the Cleansed eCourse as well as healing meal plans. I also run successful webinars on health and wellness. I am qualified in Naturopathy, Nutritional Medicine, Western Herbal Medicine, and Kinesiology and I’ve also completed post-grad studies in Human Nutrition at Deakin University.
What inspires you?
Beautiful design, graphic design, time spent just being and not doing, travel.
On a day off I like to…
go to yoga, make tea, read a good book, sit in a café with a coffee and nowhere to be.
As a kinesiologist, what are the most common misconceptions about the practice?
I think many people don’t really understand what it is, or how incredible it is… it helps you tap into your body’s innate wisdom, asking your body ‘what is going on? What do you need to heal?’ With this knowledge, you can start to live a life that feels aligned with your goals and higher self; it’s honestly life changing.
You’re the author of the Cleansed e-book series, what advice would you give to someone overwhelmed by the different choices they can make regarding their health?
Start listening to your own intuition. Tap into your higher self, your innate wisdom, and do what feels right for you. If you resonate with someone, learn from them. Don’t feel pressured to learn from everyone. If you feel confused, take a step back. You don’t have to consume every health resource in the world. Ask for help; it’ll come when you’re ready.
Carob bears! Manicures. Yoga pants.
What do you love most about your job and why?
Everything. From being my own boss, to helping women heal and align to their goals and dreams, to being able to create a life for myself that includes freedom, flexibility, flow, and yoga, and to be able to make space to write and to create.
Best cure for sleeplessness?
I personally sleep so well, and sleep problems are a multi-faceted issue so there’s no one-quick fix for this, however I do love the Resonate Essences Deep Sleep essence and spray; they’re pretty amazing!
Favourite holiday destination?
I love beaches; Plettenberg Bay in South Africa is where I grew up every summer holiday, but I also love Byron Bay for a beautiful week of doing not much.
Your go-to quick and super healthy meal?
Baked eggs with leek, garlic, baby spinach and zucchini. Yum!
Yoga or pilates?
Yoga! But I love Pilates too.
