One of Australia’s busiest stylists…Over the last decade, Colette’s held positions for SHOP, The Australian Women’s Weekly, CLEO and Madison before making the transition to a full-time, freelance stylist (coletteharvey.com).

Her current clients include David Jones, Domayne, Notebook and Sheridan, making her one of the most revered names in the lifestyle industry. On her home-styling mantra, she says, “Styling a room or set is much like putting together the perfect outfit, the accessories must be fabulous but not distract from what’s already there.”

I run my own PR agency and am a freelance stylist with RELOAD.

You’re an expert in?
I’ve been told I’m an expert at being on time and also at flower arrangements!

You’re passionate about?
Interiors – I get excited by everything from crystal cut door knobs to beautiful printed tea towels.

What’s been your career highlight so far?
I have two and both have happened in the last twelve months! The first was starting my own PR business and the second was having the opportunity to style contestants on Australia’s Next Top Model and The Biggest Loser.

What’s Sydney’s best kept secret?
The London Hotel in Paddington is my favourite hang-out spot.

What websites do you look at for inspiration?
www.thelane.com.au– includes the most exquisite interior and fashion shoots. I am also totally obsessed with weddings – I think I may have been a wedding planner in a previous life.
