Name:
David Babaii

Home is?
Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles

What do you do?
Hairstylist for Hollywood’s most glamorous stars! I get to style some of Hollywood’s top A-list celebrities for movie premieres, award shows, red carpet events, music videos, magazine covers, commercials, ad campaigns, and editorial features.

The ‘ah-ha’ moment that changed everything…
I have so many ah-ha moments, but a particular moment that comes to mind is when I styled Angelina Jolie for the cover of Vanity Fair. It was definitely a career highlight for me.

What are your top three products that you simply couldn’t live without?
My Boho Beach Spray, I use this on my clients all the time for super easy, sexy beach waves. I also couldn’t live without my Santos de Cartier fragrance by Cartier, and my Chanel eye cream.

Most overused phrase?
Just Sayin’ is definitely overused here in LA.

Every man should own…
A great stainless steel Rolex watch

What are your 3 ‘express’ hair tips for time poor chicks on the go?
1. Quick beach waves – spray damp or dry hair with Boho Beach Spray and wrap up in a bun before bed. In the morning take out bun and shake out for beautiful loose beach waves.

2. Pop in a great hair treatment while you sleep – Apply a generous amount of oil to dry hair and leave overnight if possible. Just make sure you shampoo and condition the following morning to cleanse any residual oil from the hair.

3. Find multi-tasking products like my Miracle Elixir – working on location I have to create looks quickly and easily, and in some pretty inconvenient locations, so I need products that are multi-purpose. My Elixir can be used on wet or dry hair, is a treatment and styling aid, adds gloss and reduces frizz all at the same time.

Which celebrity hair would you most like to get your hands on and why?
Audrey Hepburn would have been a dream!
