Emily Collie, editor and founder of Melbourne Girl is a self-proclaimed design lover and fashionholic with her fingers firmly on the fashion pulse at all times. Having completed not only a Bachelor of Arts, but also studies in Interior Decoration, The Fashion Industry and Landscape Design, she is driven by everything creative! Emily has covered the hottest trends, fashion events, sales and styles on her blog since its launch in 2009 and after just five years, Emily has grown the site to include coverage of fashion happenings around Australia and overseas. Garnering over 50,000 page views a month, it seems Emily and her team definitely have the golden touch when it comes to all that’s fashionable online.

How has Melbourne Girl expanded since you founded it in 2009?
Our readership and social networking continues to grow, with over 50,000 page views per month and 5600+ twitter followers. We have many contributing fashion writers from all over Australia and fashion correspondents based in New York and Milan.

What shops do you hit when you need a new outfit for an event?
Asos and The Iconic are my two ultimate online destinations. My fave in-store retailers include Myer, Cotton On, Glue Store and all surf shops.

When you’re not working on your website, what are you doing?
Outside of fashion blogging, I’m a graphic designer, a part-time events planner for a Melbourne girls’ school and an accountant/designer for my husband’s landscaping company.
