What do you do?
I am a stylist. I work mainly in print media.
What are the hallmarks of a signature style?
On-trend accessories – A statement necklace, a wild pair of shoes and a classic bag, that’s my recipe for success.
How important is it to dress for your body type?
Use your common sense and flaunt your best bits! If you have great legs, get those pins out! If you’re still baffled, seek the advice of a BFF whose style you admire and get her to give you an honest critique.
Where do you shop for homewares in Melbourne?
Oh gosh, where do I begin? I’m obsessed!! My top 12 (not in any particular order!!) ….
- Safari Living
- Ganim’s Store
- Third Drawer Down
- Market Imports
- Loom Rugs
- The Assembly Hall
- Brownlow Interior Design
- Tarlo & Graham
- Angelucci 20th Century
What’s Melbourne’s best kept secret for vintage shopping?
Mary Lipshut’s Vintage is the best-kept secret; she has a designer collection of vintage to die for!! Missoni, Pucci and my fave 1960s Courrèges!!
What are your ultimate must-haves?
- Fresh flowers in the house. I pre-order them at Mr Lincoln
- Coffee from Martha Rays
- I constantly reference The Selby
- And the old corny: family, friends, boyfriend, puppy and my fab agents at Coco Productions.
If money was no object, who’s your go-to designer for a black-tie event?
That’s easy! I would skip straight down to Le Louvre in South Yarra, then into Assin in Little Collins and of course, but not the least, my Melbourne favourite homegrown J’aton Couture.
