Name:
Julia Green

Home is?
Where the heart is! Which is Sydney at the moment.

What do you do?
I am a freelance hair & makeup artist – working between both Sydney and Melbourne. I have been in the industry for 16 years and I still feel blessed that I get to do what I love every day.

You’re passionate about?
Make-up enhancing someone’s beauty rather than masking it…

Who’s your favourite philosopher?
Melbourne singer/songwriter, Liz Stringer. Obviously she’s not really a traditional philosopher but I listen to every word like she is.

How would you describe your personal style?
My personal style changes all the time. I am influenced by what makes me feel good that day, homemade crafty things, old school grandma knitting, whimsical wonders, fantastical illustrations and female country singers.

What’s your latest must-have?
Gorgeous Cosmetics iInk Liquid Eye Pencil in Carbon Black. It glides on like a gel pencil and sets to a smudge-proof liquid liner effect – pure genius.

What’s in your beauty bag?
I like to keep skin care simple – I think simplicity gives the best results. Here are some of my faves (you can say thanks later!):

Moisturizer: Cetaphil SPF15 Daily moisturiser for the daytime, and Rose Hip Oil pressed into a freshly washed face for the night.
Fake tan: Le Tan – Deep Bronze Tanning Mousse. I love the tint in the mousse because it gives you an instant colour as well as developing a lasting tan. I find it to be a very natural summery colour.
Mascara: Covergirl Lash Blast in Very Black – still a winner in my book
Foundation: Georgio Armani Lasting Silk Foundation – beautiful texture and wearable colours. It also photographs amazingly well but still looks natural and flawless up close.
Eye cream: I haven’t come across a favourite yet – will keep you posted. Look for one with ingredients like vitamins C & E (powerful antioxidants) and caffeine (a firming agent).
Cleanser: Cetaphil Ph Balanced Cleanser – simple and very effective without stripping your skin of moisture.
