What do you do?
MTV video jockey and Myer Ambassador
I wake up to…
Recently it’s been the gym! (Boring I know!) I try and get to Agoga studio on Bondi Road around four times a week. Their classes are epic and we all know Summer is practically eating us alive so it’s good to be sweating it out between a hectic summer schedule. Plus, next year I have a National Geographic Adventure series called ‘A Model Adventure’ which I am in training for, so it’s time to get this booty into gear!
Would never part with..
My Harley Davidson. I live to ride! Especially when the weather is as magnificent as it is at the moment, I can cruise down the coast, through the national park and stop for a swim and a picnic. Plus parking and traffic rock when you’re on two wheels.
Best beauty time saver…
I love picking up a Benefit Posietint from Myer, you can blot it on your cheeks, slap a smudge on your eyes and then pop a dash on your lips. It does everything in one minute!
You were recently named as Myer ambassador. If you were given $1,000 to spend in-store what would you buy?
I would pick up my wonder mum and drag her in-store so we could treat ourselves. Sharing is caring right We would head through to Yeojin Bae’s collection and would buy the entire line. Mum and I are around the same size so after all the years of stealing her clothes I could finally return the favour!
You lived in New York for two years. What were your favourite hot spots in the city for…
A Friday night drink - The Jane. If you know Sydney, it reminds me of Shady Pines.
Best Mexican – La Esquina. You would have noooo idea this place existed! Walk through a dodgy taco shop and downstairs is a funky Mexican space, great for food and margaritas.
Leg wax - I would always head to Bliss Spa in Soho. They claim to be the least painless in NYC!
Frozen Yoghurt - Berrywild. Everything you could possibly want in cup of cold yog. Toppings to end all toppings.. it’s epic.
Sushi – Lure Fishbar on Mercer St in Nolita.
Smoothie? Almond butter lover at Moomah. Almond butter based with banana, dates and rice milk. Bring it!
As a presenter for MTV, you listen to a lot of music. What are your top five tracks now and why?
1. What I might do – Ben Pearce. This is a great chill track…Not chill enough to send you to sleep Bonobo style but just enough to relax you into his lyrics.
2. I don’t need a reason – Dizzee Rascal. Dizzee can do no wrong in my books. This is just another reason why I don’t need a reason to love him
3. Money Trees – Kendrik Lamar. The beats on this track are smoooooth. Very easy listening.
4. Is this how you feel – The Preatures. Hard working Aussie band. Izzy the lead singer has one of the most stunning voices I’ve ever heard. Big things to come for these guys!
5. 1.01 My Heart Drops – Indian Summer. A nice techy Sunday journey.
You love helping those less fortunate. What’s your favourite charity and why?
My favourite charity is Canteen, youths living with cancer. Through girls camps and other activities I have seen first hand the difference this awesome organization can make to the lives of young people. Early this year I walked the Kokoda trail to raise funds for them, it was a life changing experience!
You have a passion for healthy living. Tell us about your weekly fitness routine. I have a personal trainer once a week and then I attend classes at Agoga studio in Bondi a few times a week on top of that. The team at Agoga absolutely smashes you in a series of classes that change weekly. Never a dull moment when you can’t string a sentence together because of too many squats!
