WHO'S YOUR? is the curated black book of the best in their business.

Owner of Two Hands Agency
A few years working for the Mayor of London and a meet & greet with The Queen was all it took for Simone Marshall to finally work out what she wanted in life – a job in PR/Events! Upon returning from her years working in the communications team, Simone grabbed the chance to work for a women’s mag, went back to night school and launched herself into Two Hands Agency over 5 years ago. With a shoe closet to rival Imelda, a new digital team and an expanding staff list, Two Hands Agency continues to go from strength to strength. Just don’t start talking sports with her, she’ll never shut up…

What do you do?
Owner of PR, Marketing and Digital hub, Two Hands Agency, based in Collingwood. The team of 3 manages the day-to-day PR, Social Media and E-Commerce for fashion businesses such as Tony Bianco, Aquila shoes, Decjuba, lounge, d-lux, Simon de Winter group and Mossman as well as lifestyle brands bobble, Linen House and beauty group Auscos.

How did you get to where you are today?
Most of my working life was spent in Advertising and then a chance job landed me in the UK, in a role with the Mayor of London. I came back to Australia eager to get into events, so I went back to night school and then changed my mind entirely to PR once I finished.

What does your current role entail?
Every day is so different, another reason I love working in this role. I can be talking fashion one minute, homewares the next, pitching stories to journo’s or catching up with a celeb – it’s always changing.

What campaign or strategy have you been most proud of?
Most recently we launched an online fashion mag for one of our brands, Tony Bianco – Tony Bianco WHITE. It’s innovative and has been a smash hit! I’m all about the innovation.

How do you see PR evolving in the future?
PR has changed with the online revolution. As publicists, we not only have to ensure editors are well versed on our client’s products, but websites and bloggers now too.

Style crush?
It’s a well-blended mix of Erin Wasson and Charlize Theron.

Favourite city?
Melbourne of course, but having just returned from New York I have to say – it was pretty amazing! Barcelona is also in my top cities.

Every woman should own…
A strappy black stiletto – it goes with every trend.

Favourite snack?
Anything chocolate related. I’m a sucker for the 3pm chocolate hit.

What are you remembering?
I sat next to Katie Holmes and daughter Suri Cruse in a café in New York only a few weeks ago….sigh. That’s definitely still on my mind.

What is your favourite neighbourhood restaurant?
Bala Da Dhaba, Glen Eira Road, Ripponlea for the best Indian outside of India. Big call I know, but I’m willing to back it.
