Your signature style is…
Simple and Classic
You travel the globe for work and play. What are your top three travel essentials and why?
1) Cashmere Blanket – I get really cold in planes, so this has been one of the best buys. Europe has had quite a cold summer this year, so I have used this in Paris, Genevea & Mykonos in the evenings when it was a little bit cool.
2) Terry Baume De Rose lip balm – it’s amazing and is the most moisturising for your lips. It’s important to keep your lips hydrated through the summer days in Europe. It’s also great for kissing because it smells like roses!
3) I always keep sunscreen on me, and my current favourite is St Barths sunscreen.
Beauty product you can’t live without?
Michael Kors perfume, I just love tuberose.
Design to you is…
“art coming to life”
What is the next item on your new-season fashion lust-list?
There seems to be a lot of tweed coming through and hats again. I love a good hat. The Armani hats that are coming for winter I saw in Switzerland looked amazing!!
Favourite getaway destination in Australia?
Favourite city in the world?
You’ve had an amazing career in design, working as an Art Director for the top fashion magazines in the world. What advice do you have for young designers entering the design world?
To always follow what you love and never stay in one place too long. You need to travel and grow and learn about the rest of the world.
Talent you’d most like to have?
Talent I would most like to have would have to be either a writer or singer.
What’s the strangest thing you have had to do for your job?
When I was working with Delicious magazine, we were doing a photo shoot on cupcakes and we had to create them, I remember we were driving around looking for cupcakes and ended up in Coles buying the cupcakes and icing them ourselves with this already made icing.
