Stevie was also one of the first to introduce fashion borrowing in Australia with the successful launch of Indian Giver in 2008, which she sold in 2010 to focus on her career and new product launch…Oh and did we mention that Stevie is also planning her wedding – now that is one event we’d love to be invited to!
What do you do…?
Events Manager & founder of SOCKINGS
South Yarra, Melbourne
What can’t you live without?
Wet one’s…and I don’t even have any children yet! They are in my car, my hand bag, my desk, I don’t go anywhere without them!
What’s your poison?
Visa! In fact any type of credit card…MasterCard, American Express, they should all bar me from having access. I’m an impulsive shopper and indulge into ‘free money’ too often!
What’s your biggest splurge?
That would have to be my wedding dress from the lovely Sonia Cappellazzo in Bourke Road, Camberwell.
Name 3 things you always take on a holiday?
Wet one’s, my Visa card…and I can’t leave my fiancé Pete at home can I.
Who makes you laugh/smile?
My 3 year old nephew, Lenny. The random comments and conversations that we have are priceless. My two nieces Frankie & Elsie bring a big smile to my face, as do all my family and friends. You’re known for having planned and executed some fabulous events –
Who is your favourite…
Caterer/s to work with?
I use a variety of caterers and depending on the budget normally determines which caterer I use for what event.
Previously I have worked closely with The Big Group who are renowned on the Melbourne catering scene, however, booked into cater for my wedding in February 2013 is the fabulous Fred & Ginger www.fredandgingercatering.com.au. Owner, Emma Musgrove has an amazing eye for food styling style and works very closely with you to ensure no element is over looked.<
Ideally I would book Daryl Braithwaite to play at every event, however, not everyone loves ‘Horses’ as much as what I do! I have a number of bands who I rely on and again depending on the budget and audience will depend on what band I use. The fabulous duo of Pep and Dee are an amazing male/female acoustic act and for an acoustic artist with an amazing husky voice, you can’t go past to the dulcet tones of the very talented Sean Marchetti www.livesoundsolution.com.au
Chris Alexander (firstname.lastname@example.org) is my resident photographer. I have been working with Chris both personally (Indian Giver / SOCKINGS) and professional (Saints) for over 5 years….Unfortunately Chris doesn’t photograph weddings and therefore I am on the lookout for a wedding photographer…I’m leaning towards Jonathan Ong www.jonathanong.com.
