No Doubt

No Doubt will release its first album in 11 years next month. Foxy front woman Gwen Stefani has used that time to marry Gavin Rossdale, have two gorgeous sons while also releasing a couple of fashion lines and two solo records. Quite the over achiever really! We've no doubt her inimitable style will be a big hit all over again as will the platinum look sported by Gwen and her bassist, Tony Kanal.

Coined as the cool girls ‘go-to’ for Parisiain nonchalance, Isabel Marant’s pieces always attract the attention of fashion editors, models and stylish fashionistas from around the globe… Each collection by Marant features an assembly of irresistible skinny jeans and this season is no different! WY? wants the latest skinny jean from Marant’s Fall/Winter 2012 collection. Our prediction….the ‘Marso mid-rise skinny’ will be hot fashion property this season. The rose stretch-denim features a simple gold piping trim that runs down either side of the leg, contrasting perfectly with the pale pink wash. Pair these killer jeans wi

Who’s Hot this week…? Brian Atwood and his new Autumn/Winter 2012 campaign. The brazenly sexy print and digital campaigns shot by Mert and Marcus have been altered so as not to cause offence. The owners of the Madison Avenue building where Atwood’s store is located ordered the print ad to be toned down and the digital ad was banned from being shown in New York taxis by the city’s Taxi and Limousine Commission – nothing new in the fashion world. We of course have chosen to show you the campaign in its original versions…Need an iced tea to cool off?

While most of what we read is now online, the WY? team loves the touch, feel and smell of books! There is nothing better than curling up in bed and getting lost in a great book... and the best reads are mostly found via recommendation. We asked the WY? team to recommend their picks across our key categories. So get ready to read...   Art & Culture Louis Vuitton: Art, Fashion and Architecture  by Jill Gasparina, Glenn O'Brien, Taro Igarashi, Ian Luna, Valerie Steele Desert Flower: The Extraordinary Journey of a Desert Nomad  by Waris Dirie and Cathleen Miller The Bolter  by Frances Osborne Beauty The Per

He's a mischievous, user-friendly royal that cuts a dash, can fly an Apache attack helicopter, plays competitive polo and has just been named in Vanity Fair's Best Dressed List for 2012. Even better, he loves a 3am pool party in Vegas with US Olympian Ryan Lochte (a fellow Who's Hot member). We like to think of him as an officer and a very naughty gentleman. We salute him.

There is a trick to the garlic stink! When preparing your garlic, slice it in two and you will notice a green germ through the centre, by removing this you take away the bad smell associated with enjoying a good garlicky meal. Now you can love your garlic and be loved too!

Confession: We are slight online nerds. If we are not on our computers working away, then we are face-stalking, looking up random sites and generally procrastinating online. Taking all of this into account, we decided it was time to share some of our online gold. Say goodbye to the next 10 minutes… 1. Nerd Boyfriend (nerdboyfriend.com). Before slacker jeans and muscle tees, men dressed in skivvies, skinny ties and V-neck sweaters. Ah, how times have changed. Nerd Boyfriend is a celebration of classic dressing, inspired by dapper gentlemen such as musos David Byrne and Bryan Ferry, and actor Michael Caine. It also provides shopping tips

This week we’re breaking the rules a little by honouring Helen Gurley Brown who died on Monday, aged 90.  Along with igniting a sexual freedom amongst women in 1962 (well before Sex and The City), she also managed to publish a bestseller – Sex and the Single Girl.  She was editor at Cosmopolitan from 1965 until 1997 and remained Editor in Chief of all Cosmo international editions.  She believed women had the right to it all – love, sex and money. We thank you and we salute you, not least for coining the mantra “Good girls go to heaven, bad girls go everywhere.”
